Handmade journals to elevate your everyday.
Mima and Papel Oaxaca worked together to bring you a limited edition set of agave-fiber dotted journals, cold-pressed for daily use.
The Mezcal Industry’s Surprising Byproduct
Alberto Valenzuela of Papel Oaxaca uses the agricultural waste from the mezcal industry in Oaxaca to create this beautiful and artful paper. Together we’ve designed these elegant sketchbook/journals.
Each Batch of Paper is Unique
We are kicking off this line of journals with four cover styles. Each style was made as one batch of paper, which yielded 4 to 6 journals. The next ones we make will never look exactly the same, so if you have a favorite, claim it while you can!
Half Plain & Half Dotted Pages Give You Freedom
Whether you want to sketch on the plain pages and write on the dotted pages, or use the 1/4 in. grid of dots for drafting, we’ve got you covered. These dots were done in red ink with serigraphy at Papel Oaxaca. All of the inner pages of these journals have been cold-pressed to ensure that they can be used for writing, drawing, and dreaming.
Hand-Sewn Signatures Let These Books Open Easily
These journals were each lovingly sewn by hand, making them easy to open. You don’d have to worry about the pages cracking and falling out over time.
